WDN did its readers an important disservice by not reporting that gasoline prices would be increased by eight cents on Jan. 1 because of the abatement of the ethanol credit and state gas-tax increase.
Christmas is now gone. If you received a gift this Christmas from someone, apparently that person cared about you. If you have not yet called and thanked that person for the present you got, you should be ashamed of yourself. Perhaps next Christmas there will be no gifts.
Thank you to the volunteers who put the wreaths on the beautiful, new bathroom at Festival Park. It made me smile every time I went down the street.
There is another mining operation in the process of trying to get started up, threatening our very drinking-water supply. Please don’t stick your heads in the sand. Contact people. Get the information. Get involved. Water is a necessity of life. Please, stop the mining operation.
