Mr. Miles Bailey of 604 E. Sixth St., Washington, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at Moore’s Regional Hospital, Pinehurst.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church with the Rev. David L. Ollison officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington.
Mr. Bailey was born Jan. 29, 1960, the son of Hazel Bason and the late Alexander Duncan. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and the University of California. He was married to Debonda Kenlaw Bailey, who survives. He was a member of Faith Chapel Nondenominational Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Malaya Bailey and Fantasia Bailey, both of Washington; four sons, Miles Bailey Jr. of Miami, Fla., and Marlo Bailey, Kwatarius Bailey and Shaquille Barnes, all of Washington; one sister, June Winkler of Richmond, Va., two brothers, the Rev. Guy Harding of Washington, and Ivan Duncan of Buffalo, N.Y.; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Knowles and one brother, Michael Bailey.
Viewing will take place Saturday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive A.M.E. Zion Church. The family will receive friends at the home of his brother, the Rev. Guy Harding, 48 Ballard St., Chocowinity.
Arrangements are by Leon Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington.
