Mrs. Peggy Foster Fulford, age 72, a resident of 4681 Pamlico Beach Road, Belhaven, NC died Tuesday December 1, 2009 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday December 4, 2009 at the Wades Point Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Rev. Mike Wheeler. Burial will follow in Pamlico Beach Community Cemetery at Ryder Hill. Neal Fulford, Murl Fulford, Murphy Hopkins, Jr., Mark Braddy, Robert Fulford and Carlton Cornelius will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Fulford was born in Beaufort County on November 2, 1937 daughter of the late Major Wilson Foster and the late Mamie Allena Wilkins Foster. She married Armistead Dean Fulford, Sr. on June 25, 1955 who preceded her in death on June 16, 2002. She was a homemaker who worked home health as a caregiver. Mrs. Fulford was a member of Wades Point Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended Washington Senior Citizens when her health permitted. She enjoyed painting art but her greatest love was singing for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Fulford is survived by a son: A. Dean Fulford, Jr. and his wife Robin of Belhaven; two sisters: Marion Guthrie and Myra Sullivan both of Belhaven; four brothers: Ottis Foster, Carl Foster, Bobby Foster and Willie Foster all of Belhaven and two grandchildren: Caleb Fulford and Leah Fulford who were the apple of grandma’s eye.
The family will receive friends 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday December 3, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and at other times at the home.
