Wanda Holley West

Wanda Holley West, a resident of 493 Linda Drive, Washington, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012, at her home. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Biggs Chapel, Williamston, with the Rev. J.N. Baggett officiating.

Ms. West was born in Bertie County on July 6, 1953, the daughter of Thomas Reynold Holley and Ann Gardner Holley. She was a retired nurse’s aide.

In addition to her husband, Merrett, she is survived by two sons, Joseph M. Ruffin of Williamston and John Thomas Ruffin of Garner; her father, Reynold Holley of Windsor; stepdaughter, Brandy Harris of Washington; stepson, Anthony West of Bayview; grandchildren, Karsyn Ruffin and Karli Ruffin; and two step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to Wednesday’s service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a local humane society or local SPCA. Arrangements are by Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston.
