Mrs. Pearl B. Askew of 805 W. 8th Street, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at home.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Davenport Temple Church of God in Christ.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Askew was born to the late Ramson &Mary Sutton Brown on October 9, 1926 in Beaufort County. She graduated from the Beaufort County Schools and was employed for 20 years at Burrough Wellcome before retiring.
She was a member of Davenport Temple Church of God in Christ where she served as President of Pastorial Aide Board and member of the Trustee and Mother Boards.
Survivors: 3 daughters; Mary Robinson, Sharon Hill, PA, Carleen Wiggins of Washington, NC and Linda Newkirk, of NJ; 4 sons; Joseph Cobb, Neb., Jimmy Cobb, NJ, Willie Askew, Jr. SC and Marvin Askew of Maryland, 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation on Monday, January 25, 2010 from2:00 – 7:00 pm.
