Linda Respess Jackson, 70, of 107 Widgeon Court, Grandy, NC died Monday Feb. 8, 2010 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Mrs. Jackson was a native of Beaufort County, NC daughter of the late William Armstead and Mrs. Ella Lee Wallace Respess and was the wife of Charlie D. “CD” Jackson Jr. She was employed with the banking industry and was a Baptist.
Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Susan Rowland and one son Jeffrey Lee Jackson both of Kill Devil Hills, NC, one grandson Jeremy Rowland. She was preceded in death by a brother Frankie Respess.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday Feb. 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. in Twiford Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church St., Elizabeth City, NC by Rev. John L. Wolford III. The family will receive friends in the lobby of the Funeral Home immediately following the service and request that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 404 Jessup St., Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
