Miss Julia H. Woolard

Miss Julia Hollis Woolard, age 76, a resident of 18 Braddy Road, Washington, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at her home.
The family will receive friends at her home.
Miss Woolard was born in Washington on September 3, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Elmer Huron Woolard and Julia Elizabeth Sullivan Woolard. She graduated from Bath High School. Miss Woolard attended Roanoke Bible College and graduated from Milligan College. She was an elementary school teacher for 36 years. Miss Woolard taught school in Newport News, VA., Baltimore, MD., Washington, N.C. (John Small School and Pamlico Community School), Germany and concluded her career at Pinetown Elementary School in Pinetown, N.C.
Survivors include two sisters, Isabell Queijo of Williamsburg, VA and Mable Alligood of Washington; and many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.
In addition to her parents, Miss Woolard was preceded in death by five siblings, Elmer H. Woolard, Jr., Dorothy Hosey, John Woolard, Gretcha Dixon and Jasper Woolard.
