Watson tosses no-hitter|Jordan hits first homer at ECU

Charity Watson seems to get stronger and stronger.
Watson, a former star at Washington High School, is a freshman pitcher with the Pitt Community Bulldogs. She tossed a no-hitter in a 3-0 win over Spartanburg in Saturdays first game of a doubleheader, striking out 10 in the process.
Watson then allowed an unearned run on four hits in five innings of work while picking up the win in a 4-1 nod in the second game. She struck out six in the process.
She is 18-4 with a 0.54 ERA this season. Watson has fanned 272 and walked 80 in 155 innings. She has allowed just 50 hits in 29 games.
NICOLE JORDAN
Nicole Jordan, a former star at Jamesville High School, is playing with the East Carolina Lady Pirates. She smashed her first home run as a member of the Pirates in Saturdays 6-0 win over UCF.
Jordan hit a pinch-hit home run in the sixth inning.
Jordan is hitting .222 (4 for 18) this season. The senior has scored five runs and knocked in two.
MEREDITH KNOX
Meredith Knox, a former standout at Washington High School, is playing with the Anderson Trojans.
Knox is hitting .411 with six home runs and 21 RBIs. The senior has six doubles and one triple among her 37 hits. Knox has scored a team-high 30 runs and stolen five bases.
TIFFANY FREY
Frey, a former standout at Jamesville High School, is playing at Pitt Community College.
She is hitting .224 (11 for 49) this season. One of her hits went for a triple. She has scored 15 runs and has five RBIs.
AMANDA BEIRNE
Amanda Beirne, a former star at Northside High school, is playing at Meredith.
Beirne is 5-5 with a 2.28 ERA this season. The freshman has fanned 71 and walked 24 in 64 1/3 innings.
Beirne is hitting .190 (4 for 21). Beirne has scored one run and knocked in a run.
DONECIA EBRON
Donecia Ebron, a former standout at Northside High School, is playing at Fayetteville.
Ebron is hitting .162 (6 for 37) on the season. She has hit one triple, driven in five and scored 11 runs.
BRINKLEY JOHNSON
Brinkley Johnson, a former standout at Pungo, is playing at Pfeiffer.
The freshman is 0 for 1 with two runs scored this season. She has one stolen base and four putouts.
COLLEGE BASEBALL
TRENT WHITEHEAD
Trent Whitehead, a former star at Washington High School, is playing at East Carolina.
The junior leadoff batter is hitting .304 with one home run and 14 RBIs. Whitehead has eight doubles among his 34 hits. Whitehead has scored 29 runs and has six stolen bases.
STYRON BARFIELD
Styron Barfield, a former standout at Williamston High School, is playing at Elizabeth City State University.
Barfield is 2-4 with a 4.82 ERA this year. He has fanned 32 and walked 24 in 46 2/3 innings.
BRANDON THOMAS
Brandon Thomas, a former standout at Washington High School, is playing with the College of Albemarle Dolphins.
Thomas has pitched two innings of one-hit ball. He has also played some at first base, and is 0 for 2 at the plate.
DANIEL OLIVER
Daniel Oliver, a freshman pitcher/first baseman out of Plymouth, is playing with the St. Andrews Knights.
Oliver is hitting .331 with three home runs and 22 RBIs. He has 11 doubles and one triple among his 48 hits.

Damien Wilkins, a Washington native, is playing with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Wilkins is averaging 5.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.9 steals per game.

Barber is averaging 7.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.4 steals per game.
