Margie Lucille Owens, age 76, a resident of 114 Arbor Drive, Washington, died peacefully, Thursday, April 15, 2010 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 18, 2010 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Pastor Michael D. Huppmann officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Brandon Harris, Chris Harris, Ronald Harris, Ashton Owens, Gary Owens and Steven Owens will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington, NC.
Ms. Owens was born in Pitt County on December 16, 1933 to Jack Keel and Betty Bullock Keel. Margie worked for many years at National Spinning and Pam’s Diner. On July 6, 1963 she married Bethel Owens who preceded her in death on March 25, 2001.
Survivors include her companion, David Clemmo, her daughter, Carolyn Owens, her sons, Stanley Harris and wife Geraldine, Donnie Harris and wife Sandy, Ronnie Harris, Johnny Owens and Jeffrey Owens, her brother, Clayton Keel, her grandchildren, Gary, Ashton, Samantha and Steven Owens and Crystal, Brittany, Ronald, Brandon, Amanda and Chris Harris and her great-grandchildren, Mathew and Crystal Owens, Lindsey Snyder, and Thomas and Kaylyn Harris and a great-great grandchild, Nevaeh.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Howard Keel and Rosa Lee Martin.
