Mr. Michael Talbot Jefferson, age 67, a resident of 15503 Highway 32 North, Pinetown, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at his home.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Boyd family cemetery conducted by Elwood Jefferson.

Mr. Jefferson was born in Newport News, Va., on Sept. 1, 1944, to the late Vernon Elwood Jefferson and Jessie Mae Barnett Jefferson. Mr. Jefferson graduated from Washington High School and attended Roanoke Bible College. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Jefferson was self-employed.

Mr. Jefferson is survived by a brother, Elwood Jefferson and wife Sandra of Olive Branch, Ms.; a sister, Brenda J. Adams and husband Daniel Gray of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the home of his sister, Brenda J. Adams, 536 Ward Road, Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pinetown Fire and Rescue, 7262 N. Boyd Road, Pinetown, NC 27865.
