Lester Bryant Howell Jr. passed away at home following a short illness on April 30, 2010, in Malabar, Fla. He was 67 years old.
Les was born in Greenville, N.C., on December 28, 1942, but spent most of his youth in Washington, where he resided with his family from 1957 until 1961. He later attended the University of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ann and Lester Howell of Washington.
Lester leaves behind a loving wife, Melva Howell, two children, Dana Staser (and husband, Keith) of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren, two stepchildren, Maurene Noble (and husband David), and Susan Jarrett (and husband Earl) all of Malabar; one sister, Dianne Arvizu; and a nephew, Matthew; and niece, Elizabeth, all of Wake Forest. Lester will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Memorial services will be held in Malabar, Fla.
