Gerald Hertford Hales, 77, of New Bern died Sunday, February, 25, 2007, at his home.
Gerald was a member of Beech Grove United Methodist Church. He retired from Cherry Point in 1978.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. at New Bern Memorial.
He is survived by his wife Essie Boyd Hales; one daughter, Debbie Southerland and her husband, Ralph, of New Bern; one sister, Janice Hales Mann of New Bern; and two grandchildren, Allan Southerland and Adam Southerland.
The family will receive friends at the home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and also following the service.
