As El Presidente is fond of saying, Washington has more softball experts than any place on earth. Unfortunately, most of these experts are on the other side of the fence. Go, Lady Pack!
I can’t believe the City of Washington lets rainwater cover Stewart Parkway every time it rains when all they have to do is dig the grass out at the end of the place cars park near the chamber. It should flow to drains and into the river if the tides not too high.
I have heard a lot of complaints from Swan Point about dogs, and I live at Swan Point. While dogs are a problem, it’s the cats that have taken over. Cats everywhere. I bet you’ve got more cats in this area than you do downtown, and these cats ain’t been fixed. I don’t know what the deal is. What can we do? These cats need to go, or be taken better care of. Cats here, cats there, cats everywhere.
So they’re going to turn the old City Hall into a restaurant and bring the schooner Jeanie B to downtown to attract people. Good Lord, save us from these crazy ideas — pie-in-the-sky ideas.
So, you thought your taxes would go down because some politician signs a worthless piece of paper promising to never raise taxes as long as they live. Well now, that will gain much less money from the federal government per state. We now have much higher property taxes and will soon have some new, idiotic highway toll and ferry tolls that we never had before. Do you like that better? Remember that the next time you enter a voting booth.
