GRIMESLAND — Mrs. Elizabeth “Robbin” Conway Boyd, 52, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at home surrounded by her family and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Homestead Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Boyd, a native of Pitt County, had been a resident of Pitt and Beaufort Counties. She was employed as a cosmetologist for various companies in Pitt and Beaufort Counties. Mrs. Boyd enjoyed her grandchildren, cosmetology, fishing, hunting and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norwood and Odell Conway, and a brother, Jackie Conway.
She is survived by her: husband, James E. Boyd, Jr.; children, Scott Jones, Brandy Wright, both of Chocowinity, and Duane Haddock, of Kinston; step-children, James Boyd, of Chocowinity, Misty Boyd, of Washington, and Jennipher Cherry, of Ayden; sisters, Sheena Foy, of Washington, and Joan Speight, of Greenville; brothers, Shelton Conway, of Hillsborough, and Danny Conway, of Atlantic Beach; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of Joan Speight, 1520 Thayer Dr., Winterville.
