Mr. Ernest Glenn Cahoon, age 71, a resident of 8001 Thrush Ridge Lane, Raleigh, NC died Friday August 13, 2010 at Elmcroft of North Ridge Assisted Living Center of Raleigh.
A funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Monday August 16, 2010 at Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church in Raleigh officiated by Rev. Art King. The family will receive friends following the service till 9:00 PM. A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday August 17, 2010 at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington, NC officiated by Rev. Johnny Jones.
Mr. Cahoon was born in Beaufort County on May 17, 1939 son of the late David Lancey Cahoon and the late Lula Mae Sheppard Cahoon. He served his country in the U.S. Army Special Forces during the Vietnam War. Mr. Cahoon married the former Linda Pearl Rivenbark on March 19, 1967 who survives. He was a retired Ramp Service Technician with Eastern Airlines and later retired as a Courier for the State of N.C. Mr. Cahoon was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Raleigh.
Surviving along with Mr. Cahoon’s wife Linda of the home is a son; Stephen Cahoon and his wife Chandra of Raleigh and three grandchildren.
