BCCC’s Division of Continuing Education will offer a course in intermediate conversational Spanish from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays beginning March 26 and ending May 21, in Room 823 of Building 8.

The 24-hour course is designed as a follow-up to the Division of Continuing Education’s conversational Spanish course for beginners. The class will give students a more in-depth study of the Spanish language and allow students an opportunity to build on what they learned in the first course.

The instructor will move students beyond present-tense verbs and teach them about past, future and conditional tenses as well as introducing them to irregular verbs and imperfect verb conjugation.

Basic Spanish language concepts will be reinforced in a practical conversational setting. During these classes, students will engage in spontaneous conversations, thereby allowing them to practice their developing language skills. Students will be encouraged to talk about their trips to Spanish-speaking countries with the group, and to share their adventures and knowledge about the culture.

At the end of each class, all of the students will see improvement in their conversational Spanish skills.

The instructor is Natalie Castro. The registration fee is $65. The class will not meet April 9. The course offers 2.4 continuing-education units. Students should bring a small three-ring binder to class.
