Mrs. Rena Toler Miltenberger, age 100, a former resident of Washington Park, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010 at Ridgewood Manor of Washington.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2010 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Dr. Michael Price.
The following will serve as pallbearers: E.J. Paszt, Patrick Warren, Don Wilkinson and Ted Day.
Mrs. Miltenberger was born in Craven County on July 9, 1910. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence Toler and Barbara Jones Toler. Mrs. Miltenberger was a homemaker, who loved her garden, flowers, herbs, antiques and quilts. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Miltenberger was married to Delbert Jay Miltenberger, Sr. who preceeded her in death, Feb. 21, 1990.
Mrs. Miltenberger is survived by her son, Del Miltenberger, Jr. of Washington; four grandchildren, Carolyn Hodges Johnson and husband, Bobby, John David Hodges and wife, Christy; Kimberly Miltenberger Warren and husband, Patrick; Sarah Miltenberger Paszt and husband, E.J.; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Taylor Miltenberger; and eight great grandchildren, Rena Beth, Joe David, Lauren, John David III, Anna Catherine, Abigail, Grace and Olivia.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Miltenberger was preceeded in death by her daughter, Joann Miltenberger Hodges.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.
