I am appalled that members of families buried in the cemetery by the Presbyterian church would allow some minister, new to this area with no ties here and no history here, to come in and move the graves of many people buried there to make room for parking. Get a grip, people. Walk a few feet and let the poor souls rest in peace.

For the Washington Daily News: I think your readers should be warned, or at least the readers who get their papers, delivered. The other morning, I almost threw the paper away and saved the plastic cover.

There is no logic in the decision of not listing the Quick Start II building for sale. The snake-oil salesman has been unable to close the deal. So, why not sell the building? Whoever purchases the building will at least be paying property taxes on the building, and the county taxpayers will not have to pay for the upkeep maintenance on this white elephant.

In keeping with your desire for only local news, do we have to read any more from Cokie Roberts? She’s the daughter of a politician, spent her entire life in Washington and can best be described as a pseudo-intellectual, elite snob.
