Kitty Lewis Waters, age 50, a resident of 134 Hummingbird Lane, Washington, NC died Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Beaufort County Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Hillside Funeral Service of Washington, officiated by Rev. Sam Grist. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Hillside Funeral Service.
Kitty was born on December 7, 1959 in Portsmouth, VA, daughter of Hobson Sneed Lewis and Nancy Lee Howard Lewis, who survive. She was married to Mark Allen Waters on February 12, 1978, who preceded her in death on December 22, 2007. Mrs. Waters graduated from Bath High School. She accomplished a Business and Accounting Degree at Beaufort County Community College and was employed at WIMCO Corp. for 14 years in Accounts Payable. Kitty was also a member of Asbury Methodist Church.
Along with her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Waters and husband, Brad Woolard of Washington, NC; two sisters, Debra Lewis Williams and husband, Nolan of Greensboro, NC and Cynthia Lilley and husband, Mike of Williamston, NC. Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Holly Denise Waters.
