Mrs. Nell Jones Bilbro, 89, a resident of Washington, NC, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Beaufort County Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Greensboro, burial to follow at Guilford Memorial Park. The family received friends at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield the evening of Monday, September 20.
Mrs. Bilbro was born in Greensboro on January 17, 1921 and was a life long resident of that city until her move to Washington in June of 2009.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Charles H. Bilbro; two sons, Charles R. Bilbro and wife Pamela of Raleigh, James B. Bilbro and wife Mary of Bath; one granddaughter, Laura Berry and husband Todd of Washington; three grandsons, Timothy Bilbro and wife Daniela of Burke, Virginia, Christopher Bilbro and wife Jennifer of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Michael Bilbro and wife Bridgit of Washington; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha E. Bilbro and husband Bill of Greensboro, and one brother, William C. Jones and wife Lib of Greensboro. Mrs. Bilbro was preceded in death by a son, Walter Mark Bilbro.
Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made to St. Johns United Methodist Church.
Hanes-Lineberry of Greensboro is serving the Bilbro family.
