Elsie Williams Heath, 78, died Wednesday November 3, 2010. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Siloam Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Davenport and Rev. Janine Youngstrom officiating. Burial will follow in the churchyard.
Mrs. Heath was born in Martin County near Jamesville. She was the daughter of the late James R. and Bertie Barber Williams. Before retirement, she was the District Manager for Avon Cosmetics for 17 years. With her job, she traveled around the world but her favorite place was at home with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law.
She was a member of the Siloam Methodist Church. On December 27, 1950, she married Duelon Heath. A brother, Jimmy Williams, preceded her in death.
Survivors in addition to her husband are daughters Cindy Price and husband Charles of Jamesville, and Christie Woolard of Greenville, son Van Heath and wife Roanoke of Jamesville, grandchildren Melissa Holliday, Matthew Holliday and wife Jessica, Alayna Heath, Caleb Woolard, and Sarabeth Woolard.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Siloam Methodist Church and other times at the residence, 25920 US Highway 64, Jamesville NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Jamesville Rescue Squad.
Arrangements are by Biggs Funeral Home, Williamston.
