The Plymouth football team rolled past Perquimans in the regular season finale winning 44-12 on Friday night.
The win gives the Vikings (10-1, 6-1) at least share of the Four Rivers Conference championship with Manteo.
Ronnell Blount led Plymouth with 134 yards and three touchdowns, while Elmer Cooper rushed for 121 yards and a score. Dylan Watts and Davonte Bland each scored a touchdown for Plymouth. (WDN)
Knights roll past Cougars
Riverside cruised past South Creek in the regular season finale as it beat its rival 48-6. Knights’ quarterback Luke Mathews hit of 13 of his 20 pass attempts for 204 yards and two TDs. Ramelle Lanier carried the ball five times for 56 yards and three scores and had five catches for 68 yards and another TD. Marcus Freeman had 2 receptions for 59 yards and a score, while Laquan Speller returned an interception for a touchdown.
The win ups the Knights record to 9-2, 5-2, while leaving the Cougars (0-11, 0-7) having to wait till next year to get their first win. (WDN)
