Ms. Paula Jean Castellow, age 53, a resident of Washington, died Monday, November 8, 2010.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 12, 2010 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home, Washington, conducted by Derik Davis.
Paula was born in Bertie County on March 4, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Donald Aubrey Castellow and Peggy Frances Copeland Castellow Williford. Paula graduated from Bertie High School in 1975. She was a veterinary technician at Pamlico Animal Hospital for the past 10 years. Prior to coming to Pamlico Animal Hospital, Paula worked as a veterinary technician in Florida for 16 years. Last fall, she participated in the Emmaus walk.
Paula’s life was devoted to caring for animals.
Paula is survived by her brother, Marty Castellow and his wife, Anita of Windsor; her nephew, Justin Castellow of Windsor; her “Pamlico Animal Hospital Family” and her five cats.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her dog, Annie.
