Mrs. Vickie Lynette Armstrong Brown, 51, of 201 Wilson St., Plymouth, died Friday, April 13, 2012, at her home.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday at the Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ with Elder Elmer Cooper Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Toodle’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown was born Aug. 16, 1960, in Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Lee Armstrong and the late Lillie Brooks Armstrong. She was a member of Cooper’s Temple Church of God in Christ, Mother of the church, and member of the Usher Board.

Surviving are her husband Melvin Lee Brown of the home; son Melvin Lee Brown Jr. of Plymouth; daughter Shamika Lata´ Brown of Plymouth; four brothers, Larry Boston, Don Armstrong, Ernest Armstrong Jr. and Michael Armstrong, all of Plymouth; two sisters, Carolyn Cooper and Tonya Swart, both of Plymouth; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. today at Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ and other times at the home.
