Mrs. Faye Grissom Keech, age 74, a resident of 3022 Gray Road, Chocowinity, died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Beaufort County Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at Haw Branch Church of Christ, Chocowinity, conducted by Jason Kirkman and Pastor Henry Horne. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Brandon Keech, Allen Keech, Lonnie Mayo, Jr., Bobby Oakley, Travis Hudson, Jr., and William Barr. Honorary pallbearers will be John Pinkham, John Clark and Greg Burbage.
Mrs. Keech was born in Beaufort County on September 7, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Wesley Grissom and Mittie Norman Grissom. Mrs. Keech had worked as a secretary at Estes Truck Lines. She was a former Beaufort County E.M.T. Mrs. Keech was a former member of the Beaufort County Chapter of M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) and the Carolina Breezewood Band, where she played the keyboard and sang vocals. She was a member of Haw Branch Church of Christ.
On December 24, 1982, she married Lowell Thomas Keech, Sr., who survives.
Surviving with her husband are three sons, Mark Myers of Seattle, Washington, Victor Myers of Yuma, Arizona, Clay Myers of Seattle, Washington; three stepchildren, Tommy Keech of Pigeon Forge, TN, Vickie Keech Mayo of Blounts Creek, Jeffery Keech of Blounts Creek; a sister, Blanche Hudson of Chocowinity; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keech was preceded in death by a special aunt, Rosa Moore.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Haw Branch Church of Christ and other times at the home of her sister, Blanche Hudson, 3466 Gray Road, Chocowinity.
