We celebrate the life of Mable Okleberry Morgan recently of Washington, NC, who passed away on Friday, the 3rd of December at 91 years of age.
Lovingly known as Mommy, Gram, GG, and Aunt Mabe, she was born on Oct. 7, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah and was raised on a sheep and cattle farm in Goshen, Utah. She lived most of her life in Fair Oaks and Roseville, Calif., and Ogden Utah, with her husband, the late Joseph Glade Morgan. Joseph and Mable were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and were married in Salt Lake City Temple. Our joy is that they will be reunited in the Lords home. She will be missed for her love of life, her sparkling blue eyes, her beautiful voice and talent on the piano and organ, and her mischievous ways.
Mable was a joy to know and to love. She was an enthusiastic golfer, and worked as an Air Force administrator and IRS examiner. Mable was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Stephanie Zablocki Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Gay Mickie Zablocki and husband, Rick, her grandson, Shawn Underwood and wife, Christine, of Washington, NC; her step-granddaughter, Alisa Brewer and husband, Steven, of Amherst, Mass.; her great-grandchildren, Collin Jones, Matthew Jones, Mikaela Jones, Morgan Underwood, Carly Underwood, Charles Brewer and Daniel Brewer, and family and friends in North Carolina, California, and Utah.
