Little Jimmy Boykin Sr. (Pa Pa), of 161 Cutler Road, Blounts Creek, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
A celebration of his life will be held t 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2012, in the chapel of Paul Funeral Home, Washington. Burial will follow in the Cutler family cemetery, Cutler Road, Blounts Creek.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and other times at the home.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Cutler Boykin of the home; his children, L. Jimmy Boykin Jr. and wife Christy, and Sara Jaclyn Boykin-Clark, all of Chocowinity, Shelly Boykin-Miller and husband John Miller, Anthony B. Boykin of Jacksonville, Fla., Jeffrey B. Jones of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Ronnie Boykin and wife Margaret of Elizabeth City, Donnie Boykin and wife Pattie of Chesapeake, Va.; sisters, Fay Hall and husband Chris of Bailey, and Frances Johnson of Raleigh. Also, the grandchildren he loved so much: Kaleigh and Zachary Clarke, Ashlyn, Evan and Tyler Miller of Jacksonville, Fla., Isabella and Holden Boykin, Jaden and Jorden Clark of Chocowinity and Jack Jones of Virginia Beach, Va., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buddie and Belinda Boykin; sisters, Ula Mae Scott and Joyce Terry, all of Johnston County, and nephews, Chris and Mikey Boykin of Virginia Beach, Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to 161 Cutler Road, Blounts Creek, NC 27814. All memorials will be deposited into an education account set up for his beloved grandchildren at First South Bank (L. J. Boykin, Sr.)
