Mrs. Elizabe th Wells Masten Phillips H oneycutt, 87,
passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010.
A memorial service w ill be c onduct ed Sunday at 2
p.m. in the Brown Chapel at Cypress Glen.
Mrs. Honeycutt, daughter of the late Percy Edward
and Louise Wrenn, was a longtime residen t of Greenville
and attended the local sc hools. She was an ac tive
member of St. Paul’s Ep iscopal Church. S he enjoyed
summers at Atlantic Beach where she was a member of
the Coral Bay Club and atten ded S t. Andrew’s Episc opal
Church in Morehea d City. A member of the Lector
Book Club, she had a zest for life and especially enjoyed
playing bridge and poker with her friends. For the past
five years, she resided at Cypress Glen.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Ray Masten,
Ken Phillips and Roy Honeycutt, Jr.
Surviving, daughters, Joyce M. Davenport and
husband, Jimmy, of Louisburg, Lee M. Vann and husband,
To m, of Washington and Lynn M. For bes and
husband, Glenn, of Greenville; stepchildren, Rhett Honeycutt
and wife, Joanne, an d Roy Honeycutt and wife,
Blake, all of Greenville, Kirk Phillips and wife, Kathy, of
Durham and Janie Phillips of Raleigh; g randchildren,
Rob Davenport, Mary Seegert and husb and, D ave,
Philip W. Vann, Rebecca F. Martel and husband, Greg,
and David Forbes; and six step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends in the Four Seasons
room following the service.
