Robert Glenn “Bobby” Hill, 63, of 32 Summerfield West, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, in Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Mr. Hill was born in Kinston, N.C., and was the son of the late William Wesley and Elizabeth Ward Hill. A retired maintenance supervisor from Weyerhauser Corp. in Plymouth, he was a member of Cape Colony Church of Christ where he had formerly served as a deacon and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Whitby Hill.
Surviving are his wife, Carole Godfrey Hill; three daughters, Kathy Hardison and husband, Glenn, of Williamston, Tiffany Cook of Greenville and Robin Terry of Chocowinity; a son, Ryan Quidley of Plymouth; two sisters, Betty Lou Glover and Libby Barber and husband, David, all of Jamesville; two brothers, Billy Hill and wife, Mary, of Roper and J.V. Hill and wife, Nancy, of Goldsboro; and six grandchildren, Kalyn, Jewel, Hagen, Mollie, Mallorie, and Lily.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Cape Colony Church of Christ by the Rev. Thomas Biggs. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens in Plymouth. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the church and all other times at the residence.
