William Allen “Bill” Coward, 76, of the Greenbrier Community, New Bern, formerly of Washington, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at his residence. The family will receive friends at 112 Oakmont Circle, the Greenbrier Community, New Bern. A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., 701 West St., New Bern, where ritualistic services will be performed by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peters A.M.E. Zion Church, 617 Queen St., New Bern, with the Revs. Robert Kelly and Joseph C. George, officiating. Interment with military honors will immediately follow the service in the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville. Arrangements are by Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., New Bern.
