A 50-inch television stolen last November was recovered in connection to another larceny case in Pitt County, said a statement from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the press release, the TV, taken from a residence on Highway 17 South in Chocowinity, was found by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office as they investigated a string of break-ins in the county.
Major Kenneth Watson of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office credits the tv’s return to the sharing of information across county lines.
“It’s just a sharing of information between two agencies,” said Watson. “When they shared some info about an ongoing investigation and a potentially stolen TV, we were able to match it up.”
Warrants charging Danny Earl Lewis, 20, of Allen Road, Greenville, with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny will be served when Lewis is brought to Beaufort County from Polk Correctional Institution in Butner where he is currently incarcerated on charges unrelated to the Beaufort County case, said the statement.
