Mr. Seth Alonza Sparrow, 56, a resident of 1895 Woodstock Road, Belhaven, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at Beaufort County Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home, Belhaven, conducted by the Rev. Linda Rowe and Tim Hackett. Burial will follow in Winsteadville Community Cemetery, Belhaven.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Howell S. Sparrow, III, George S. Sparrow, Jr., Kevin J. Braddy, Keith Woolard, Charles Woolard and Charles Smith. Tracey S. Council, Janet B. Guyer and Keith Sparrow will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Seth was born in Beaufort County on Oct. 3, 1954. He was the son of Dorothy Sadler Sparrow and the late Howell Swindell Sparrow, Sr. Seth was employed with Electrolux, formerly Fridgedaire in Kinston since 1991. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and tinkering on old cars. He attended Bethany United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Sadler Sparrow of Belhaven; a sister, Sarah Braddy of Belhaven; and two brothers, Howell Sparrow, Jr. and George Sparrow both of Belhaven.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Paul Funeral Home, Belhaven and other times at the home of his mother, Dorothy Sparrow, 1895 Woodstock Road, Belhaven.
