Major Colon “Rufus” Alligood Jr., age 39, a resident of 140 Alligood Drive, Washington, died Saturday, May 26, 2012.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Alligood Church of God, Mill Hole Road, Washington, conducted by Pastor Phillip Jethro. Burial will follow in the Alligood Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friend from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Alligood Church of God and other times at the home of his parents, Major and Carol Alligood, 150 Alligood Drive, Washington.
