I feel that this is wrong. Our light bills are high. I feel the people who don’t live in Belhaven should be charged at least $2 to $5. We have enough problems with our own light bills. Charge the people that come in. God bless.
I’ve worked for 30 years. What retirement I have is in the bank. I pay more than $300 a month for my health care alone. Just because somebody works or has worked for the state doesn’t mean they should get free or cheap health care. If you can afford not to work, you can afford to pay full price for your health care. Twenty-five years of work doesn’t mean someone is entitled to 40 years of living off the system.
Why haven’t the islands between the Estuarium and the railroad trestle been elevated, leveled and bulkheaded and put to good use. They are an eyesore now. They need to be put to good use.
This is in response to the article about the UHS offer in the Sunday paper: Hood Richardson, you stuff it!
Hood Richardson needs to keep his mouth shut and sign the deal.
The crossword puzzle was cut off in Sunday’s paper. I hope you will fix it.
Unbelievable! Is the Beaufort County Board of County Commissioners going to let themselves be hoodwinked again?
The caller in Sunday’s paper espousing the merits of rerouting traffic from Crown Drive to Lawson Drive by way of Dimock may be better served by continuing to use the unrestricted Crown Drive, which serves the half dozen or so of its residents. This would not seem a benefit to anyone nor a prudent use of taxpayer dollars.
