“It’s a chance for dog owners to come out and let their dogs hunt for Easter Eggs and have a fun time,” she said. “I’m here for training and to offer my services to help owners train their dogs that they love so much. I thought the Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs was a good and fun thing to do.”

Dornbrach will be on site as a judge for both the egg hunt and the costume contest and said she will answer any questions on dog training as well.

Dornbrach has been training dogs for several years. She started at the animal shelter and then went to Inner Banks Dog Rescue to care for and train dogs there. She also completed studies in animal behavior in college. Before that, however, she started dog training in Germany.

According to Dornbrach, this will be the first time an Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs has been done in Washington.

“I think it will be fun for the dogs and the owners, to get out there and have a good time,” she said.
Dornbrach added that there will be a surprise egg a dog may find, which contains a token for a free dog obedience class of the dog owner’s choice.

For the costume contest, owners can dress up their Easter dog and have their picture taken. The cutest dog will win a free obedience class as well.

The Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs will be held at 1 p.m. April 17 at the Off Leash Park for dogs.
