Carol Chancey Taylor

Mrs. Carol C. Taylor, 60, a resident of 455 Rowe Lane, Blounts Creek, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Rowe family cemetery located on Rowe Lane, with pastor Ray Webb officiating.

Mrs. Taylor was born Jan. 18, 1952, the daughter of the Cecil Wilber Chancey and Amanda Rowe Chancey, who preceded her in death. On June 13, 1970, she married Melvin Thomas Taylor Jr., who survives. Carol worked as an EMT with the Blounts Creek Fire and Rescue Department. She was a member of the Christ Vision Church in Blounts Creek.

Along with her husband, Melvin T. Taylor Jr., she is survived by a brother, Cecil Ray Chancey and wife Betty of Edward; and two sisters, Lois C. Hollowell and husband Thomas of Washington and Brenda C. Godfrey and husband Bob of Chocowinity; and several nieces and nephews.
