Mr. Wilbert Coley Rivers, 94, a resident of Washington, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at H.D. Pope Funeral Home Chapel, Roanoke Rapids. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Weldon. Pastor Quientrell Burrell will be officiating and the Rev. Richard Webb will deliver the eulogy. Burial will take place immediately following the service in the Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids. Arrangements are by H.D. Pope Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids.
