NORFOLK — Stanley Stewart, 79, of Norfolk, passed away April 16, 2007.
He was born October 31, 1928 in Washington, NC, the son of the late John and Bessie Stewart. He retired from civil service with Sapphire Courier as an electronics mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Sally Stewart; and the family of his first wife who predeceased him, Avanell Stewart; his brother, Eugene A. Stewart and his wife together with a niece and nephew. His sister, Elizabeth Iris Stewart predeceased him.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 8827 Chesapeake Blvd., where he had been an active member for many years. The burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, NC, Friday at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Tidewater Drive Chapel Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com
