On May 3, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office’s Drug Unit served arrest warrants on Debra Riggs Cannon, 52, and Felicia Cannon, 24, both of 605 Mary St., Chocowinity. Each was charged with trafficking in opium and conspiracy to traffic in opium.

Their arrests stemmed from investigators making purchases of prescription pain pills containing opium from the Cannons.

Each was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $2,500 secured bond.
