Learn American Sign Language

BCCC’s Division of Continuing Education will offer a class that will introduce students to American Sign Language, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays, beginning Aug. 20 and ending Oct. 15, in Room 826 of Building 8 on the BCCC campus.
The registration fee is $65. The required textbook, “Talking with Your Hands and Listening with Your Eyes,” may be purchased from the BCCC Bookstore for $21.75, tax included, prior to the first night of class. The class will not meet Sept. 3.
This 24-hour course will offer topics related to American Sign Language. Students will receive “suggested homework” each week to review topics covered. Students also will learn terminology associated with American Sign Language. This course offers 2.4 continuing education units.
