JACKSONVILLE (AP) — Onslow County is designating reserved parking spaces for those wounded while serving in the military.
The Daily News of Jacksonville reports the wounded warrior parking signs are red and white and have the logo of a soldier carrying his wounded buddy off the battlefield.
Onslow County Manager Jeff Hudson says the county will be putting two wounded warrior parking spaces each at the tax office, the health department and the county’s multipurpose complex.
There will be four more spaces at the local airport.
Hudson says the county is proud of those who served in the military and wants to make things as easy as possible for them.
