Mr. Warren “Red” Nicholson Everett, 78, of Woodlawn, Tenn., died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Northcrest Hospital, Springfield, Tenn.
A funeral will be conducted today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home, Clarksville, Tenn., with the Rev. Paul Gardner and the Rev. Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Montgomery D. Davie III, Ed Swaffer, Larry Byrd, Andy Fleming, David Fleming, Elmer Fleming Jr., Jim Lavery and Matthew Egbert. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Moss’s Round Table.
Mr. Everett was born in Bath on May 26, 1928. He was the son of the late Robert Thomas Everett and Sallie Lillian Webster Everett. He was a Navy veteran. He was married to Dorothy Davie Everett, who preceded him in death. He later married Mary Jane Parsons Everett, who also preceded him in death. He then married Bettye Brown Everett, who survives. He was the retired owner of Cumberland Auto Salvage. He was a Little League coach for many years. He attended Hilldale Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Warren N. Everett Jr. of Woodlawn, Tenn.; one daughter, J. Kimberly Everett-Buffo of Walnut Creek, Calif.; two stepchildren, Mark L. Spears of Clarksville, Tenn., and Bunnie S. Peterson of Raleigh; two brothers, David Caldwell Everett of Bath, and William Blount Everett of Brandon, Fla.; one sister, Mildred Everett Brooks of Bath and three grandchildren.
