Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.
Eagle’s Wings paying an average of $3 for a pound of groceries is extremely high and not being financially responsible. No wonder it may not survive.
The new city logo I saw in the Daily News looks more like two penguins and a snake rather than a W.
Thanks for the head’s up for Pickin’ on the Pamlico this weekend. I make sure I stay away from it. Its just more pie-in-the-sky rose-colored glasses, Washington trying to put a dress on a pig.
This is a message for the sports editor. I’m wondering if there is any way that the sports department at the Daily News could cover the JV football teams? There is so much talent on JV football, but everything is focused on varsity. I know Southside doesn’t even have a JV cheerleading team to cheer these kids on and they work so hard. They’ve been there all summer preparing for the season and they get no coverage in the paper. Build these kids up because they’re the talent that’s gonna be there next year for varsity. It would be really nice to see some coverage of JV football for the county.
