Mrs. Alease Hill Askew, 73, of 201 Mizelle Lane, Windsor, died Friday, May 25, 2007 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Askewville Assembly of God with the Rev. R.O. Denton Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor.
Mrs. Askew was born in Bertie County on January 16, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Joseph H. Hill and Mary White Hill. She was predeceased by her stepfather, Z. R. Mizelle. She was a member of the Askewville Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her husband, Otis Devoy Askew of Windsor, four sons, Otis Devoy Askew Jr., Jerry Lynn Askew both of Windsor, Donnie Allen Askew of Winton and Wilbur Hill Askew of Aulander; one sister, Nadine Hill Bazemore of Ahoskie; and three brothers, Joe Hill, Haywood Hill both of Windsor and Jim Hill of Virginia.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home and at other times from their home.
Arrangements are by Walker Funeral Home in Windsor.
