To the author of the Wednesday letter to the editor, Ms. Nelda Neuman: how dare you claim that hunters who used dogs to hunt are not real hunters? Where were the rest of the hunters at? In the woods, of course. By the way, we’re still going to be on the road catching dogs — guns or not.

Why are school cafeterias allowing students to buy three, four or even five bags of chips? Secondly, if that child gets a free lunch and buys all these chips, they should contribute some sort of money, some amount of money, toward his or her lunch. I guess it’s all about profits, not health.

Yes, I’m responding to the father that called into Sound Off about the “Mother against distracted driving.” Of course there are fathers out there who are concerned. But if he was so concerned, why doesn’t he go and help the mother who is going around trying to prevent children from having the same accident that her child did instead of calling Sound Off? Maybe he needs to do something.

If the commissioner’s inability to conduct himself in an ethical manner bothers you or anyone else, well, when it comes time to vote and every time it’s time to vote, you all vote for him and keep putting him back in there. So there’s your answer: you keep voting for him, get him back in there and then complain. You know what to do.
