Washington Noon Rotary helps send softball team to world series

The Washington Noon Rotary presented the Washington 12U Babe Ruth Softball team with a $500 check to help cover their expenses to the Babe Ruth World Series in Alachua, Fla. The team placed fifth in the nation out of 20 teams that participated. Lynch received the Babe Ruth Sportsmanship Award, the highest honor among players. Swanner made the All World Series Team for outstanding individual performance.
