DURHAM — N. Warren Wilson Sr., age 87, of 300 Meadowlands Dr. Hillsborough (formerly of Anthony Dr., Durham) passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, September 14, 2012, at Hospice of the Meadowlands in Hillsborough.
He was born in Alamance County to the late Nathaniel Wilson and the late Annie Yates Wilson Woosley and was the husband of Rae Rowe Wilson for 61 years.
Mr. Wilson was a WW II Army Air Force veteran, a 1949 graduate of UNC-CH and a member of McMannen United Methodist Church. He retired from the US Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service and later became a real estate agent. An avid golfer and former member of Croasdaile Country Club, he was a charter member of the Durham Organization of Golfing Seniors (DOGS).
In addition to his wife, Rae Rowe Wilson, of the home, he is survived by a daughter, Ms Victoria Ann (Vicky) Wilson of Hillsborough; and a son, Nat W. Wilson Jr. of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mrs. Doris (Wade) Lowe.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at McMannen United Methodist Church, 4102 Neal Road, Durham, NC  27705. A reception will follow the service.
