Financial card fraud reported at 5:07 p.m. Offender used debit card to purchase a total of $243.11 in merchandise from multiple locations.
Chocowinity Police Department
Oct. 24
Three-vehicle wreck on Highway 33 West between the railroad and Moore Lane reported at 5:01 p.m. The driver of a Ford Aerostar rear-ended a Ford Ranger, sending the Ranger into the back of a Kia Soul. The driver of the Aerostar said the sun was in his eyes and he did not see that traffic was stopped due to construction ahead. Construction workers said they were not directing traffic at each end because of radio battery problems. No citations were issued. Driver of the Ranger was transported to Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
