Investigation of an August larceny resulted in an arrest this week, said a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Larry O’Neal Woolard III, 35, of Bayview Road, Bath, turned himself in to authorities Nov. 10. Woolard was charged with one count of financial card theft and one count of identity theft.

On Aug. 6, the sheriff’s office received a report of the card’s theft from a residence on Ormond Avenue in Bath, said the release. Woolard, an acquaintance of the victim, is alleged to have used the card to withdraw $300 from an ATM, said Maj. Kenneth Watson, spokesman for the agency.

According to Watson, the identity theft charge stems from Woolard having entered the victim’s pin number for the ATM withdrawal, thereby impersonating the victim.

Woolard was released from the Beaufort County Detention Center on a $25,000 unsecured bond.
