First-graders at Chocowinity Primary School rehearse a number for their holiday musical “Flakes,” which will open Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Southside High School auditorium. The public is invited to attend. A second performance is planned for Friday at 2:15 p.m. with limited seating in CPS’s multi-purpose room. The show, directed by music teacher Julie Sizemore, is billed as “a musical celebration of snow, slush and ‘snirt’ (snow mixed with dirt).” (Beaufort County Schools photo)
